Restorative Dentistry is comprehensive full mouth care that combines the art and science of restoring teeth and their supporting tissues to optimally improve dental health, aesthetics and function.
Restorative dentistry in its broadest sense involves the restoration and rehabilitation of oral and dental tissues for patients. It includes the following dental disciplines very often working closely together to achieve the best possible outcome for the patient:
- general dentistry which involves examinations, diagnosis, stabilisation of dental pain and disease and simple aesthetic improvements
- periodontology which is the prevention and treatment of gum disease
- endodontics (root canal treatment)
- prosthodontics which is the definitive replacement of teeth (Crowns,Bridges,Implants)
